This is a typical family style luncheon/dinner in Vietnam. Here we have grilled fish that was caught in my family’s backyard. They have a super duper large, probably over 20 acre farm and 3 different ponds to raise fish. Also is boiled shrimp, steamed pork belly, banana flower, sliced pineapple, and a variety of herbs and greens. Vietnam is the only country I’ve been in so that eats this much of variety of herbs and greens. It’s seemingly endless and it’s so fresh and aromatic. The types of fresh greens is something that is immensely lacking in the U.S. and I hope to grow some here to share the different flavors.
